This is a personal site. It has no analytics profile of you, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and nothing to sell. What follows is the complete list of what it handles.
What the site collects on its own
Nothing that identifies you. Page views are counted by Vercel Analytics, which sets no cookie and no cross-site identifier — it records that a page was loaded, not who loaded it. Your theme choice and any unsaved drafts are kept in your own browser’s storage and never sent anywhere.
What you can choose to send
Two forms: the contact form, and the request to read the held-back writing. Both take a name, an email address and a short message, and both do exactly one thing with them — send them to me as an email, through Resend. Nothing is written to a database, because this site does not have one. The message lives in my inbox like any other email.
Each form keeps a count of recent requests per IP address in memory for one minute, to stop a script hammering it. That count is a number, holds no message content, and is gone when the server restarts.
Signing in
Some writing here is held back and readable only by people I have added to a list. That list is an email address, an optional first name and the date I added it — nothing else, and no reading history: the site does not record which pages you opened or when.
Signing in uses Google. The site asks Google for two things, your email address and your account’s stable identifier, and asks for nothing else — no profile, no contacts, no Drive, no calendar. It never sees your password, and it stores no Google token: the credentials from the exchange are used once to verify who you are and then discarded.
What it keeps is one cookie, holding your email address and that identifier, signed so it cannot be altered. It expires after thirty days, it is marked so scripts cannot read it, and it is used for one thing: deciding whether to show you a page. There is no tracking cookie anywhere on this site.
Where it is kept, and who else sees it
The site runs on Vercel, which serves the pages and keeps ordinary server logs. The reader list lives in this site’s own source repository on GitHub, which is private. Google handles the sign-in, and Resend delivers the mail. Those four and me — nobody else, and nothing is sold, shared or handed to an advertiser.
Removing yourself
Email me at aditya.s.kothuri@gmail.com and say so. I will take you off the reader list, which also ends any session you have open, and delete the messages you sent me. You do not have to give a reason, and there is no form to fill in. If you would rather just leave, clearing this site’s cookies signs you out.
Children
This site is not directed at children and asks for nothing beyond an email address from anyone who chooses to write in.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. The page is in version control, so every previous wording is recoverable.
